McPherson Intellectual Property Law Office, PLLC

Welcome to the McPherson IP Law Office (MCIP) website.  MCIP was founded by James M. McPherson in 2008 with the goal of providing in-depth client representation of intellectual property matters.  MCIP is located in the Detroit metropolitan area and represents clients across the country in various aspects of intellectual property law.  In particular, MCIP provides representation in all aspects of the procurement of intellectual property rights including representing clients in prosecution of U.S. and foreign patent and trademark applications and copyright applications.   MCIP further provides other services in intellectual property matters including enforcement and defense of intellectual property rights.

Since its inception, MCIP has found continuous growth from its solid core of business and individual clients.  MCIP now represents dozens of clients in the Detroit metropolitan area and across the country in various intellectual property matters, which extends both nationally and internationally.  As a result of this growth, MCIP has expanded its practice to include additional talented attorneys and support staff experienced in various aspects of intellectual property law and engineering disciplines.

One particular unique aspect of MCIP is in its ability to provide personal and attentive care for both individuals and businesses.  However, unlike larger conglomerate firms, MCIP's personalized care does not require them to charge their clients conglomerate fees, which is particularly important in today’s economic conditions where businesses are forced to reduce overhead while maintaining or increasing its intellectual property footprint.

If you have any questions regarding what MCIP can provide, please do not hesitate in contacting us at our toll-free number listed below.  We look forward to hearing from you.
